Our 1st Anniversary!!

It is Actually our Anniversary Today...but we decided to getaway for a couple of days last week to celebrate.  We went to a little place on the coast to enjoy ourselves.  It was so nice to be out of touch with reality!  We went to watch the dolphins play, walked on the beach at Sunset, and enjoyed some Yummy Seafood!  This evening, we had some Year old cake, and surprisingly it was actually Moist and tasted just like it did the night of the wedding!  I was very impressed!

In the NEW!

I will probably be pretty sore tomorrow...Today was my first attempt at the Couch to 5K in 9weeks.  These hills around my house will kill you, especially on the 60sec of jogging, to 90 seconds of fast walking!  I have been walking the neighborhood, but no attempt of jogging until today!  But, I can bet this hills will give me massive calfs!

Also, tonight I got out my NEW KitchenAid Mixer...my Daddy bought it for me for Christmas and since we were moving and packing...I haven't ever used it!  It was great to get that big thing out of the box and see what it could do.  I am in the process of making  Mini Lemon pound cakes and a Star cake for someone's special Birthday!
I decided you can't have a Birthday without having a little cake!

Happy Early Birthday Jane!  We will see you this weekend!

Girl's Night Out

Craig prepping the Kabobs!

Looking forward to hanging out with the girls...we are having a dinner tonight.  It has been quite a while since we have all been together.  I saw each of them at the Open House...but it was really hard to spend much time with each of them.  So, tonight we are having a gathering!  Craig has  prepped Chicken Kabobs with Red Peppers, Yellow Peppers, and Onions to grill.  He will be our server this evening, so I can enjoy being with the girls.  Isn't that a sweet Hubby! We have also made yummy appetizers celery and laughing cow cheese. Yummy!  Look forward to good Food and fellowship!

This weekend we went to visit my Grandad, known as "Paw Paw" in Corinth, Mississippi.  Let me remind you this man in 92 years old!  It was great to see him, and his farm.  He lives out in the middle of country...miles and miles of land.  Craig got to experience his farm; riding on his "mule".  Yes, folks he has a Kawaski Mule!  LOL!  We came across his old Christmas tree farm, and many run down and rustic barns.
We had a short but productive visit! After our visit we went to the cemetary to visit other relatives and show our respect with flowers and patriotic flags.  I don't mean to sound morbid, but it was really neat to check out all the tombstones from different family members.

Craig took it upon himself to start my geneology with both sides of our families when we got back to Birmingham.  Well, will have to see what he comes up with....

First Posting

WOW!  I thought in a million years...I would never have my own blog.  I thought what in the world would I ever write about.  And I also thought well, I will get one when I have children, so family can stay in touch with me.  I have never been into journalism..but we will see how this blog goes....

Saturday, June 16th  we had an Open House...for our New home in Hoover.  It was so much fun!  It was great to see old and new friends gather in our home.
